My 350 has a stripped oil pump retaining screw. Is this the correct insert for the screw? I believe it’s 5mm.

I am not sure but I am sure you could use basically any insert and 5mm bolt as long as they matched. Do you have a 5mm helicoil kit? Also since it's in plastic could you put a dab of super glue or other epoxy on the bolt before putting it in?

Yep, I’ve got 5 and 6mm helicoils. I’ve just never used them in plastic. Do they bite in well enough?

I don't think a helicoil would get enough grip in plastic. Most hardware stores have brass screw inserts that work well in plastic and wood.
I have used standard Helicoils already with great success. That was a situation where the plastic molding was too thin to install a deep thread insert. But your suggestion is great if you have the room.
