More like poked myself
I ran that 281 today it pulls harder than his 390 husq. That 281 hauls ass.
Finally put the 24 on the 281 with a brand new roll of full skip stihl chain and didn't even get to run it.
I wasn't aware that the 288 top end was still available new. But depending on price I'm of course interested in a used one.
I recently inquired about a 281 topend and was told they were nlaLikely made at the KolbenSchmidt factory in Brazil. The 288xp still is made as well, at Husky's Brazilian factory - as is the 281xp.
Is there an advantage of a 281 over 288

Not when everything else is the same of course - but it really is a silly and untrue statement.I have a 281 and a 288 both stock saws,My 288 is noticeably the stronger of the 2.No replacement for displacement.
Larger saws larger bars larger trees,This is silly and untrue?Good For You
