The differences between the 262 and 254/257 are top end (bigger bore and taller cylinder), taller plastics (for the taller cylinder), muffler, air filter, carb, longer rod for the 262 and a few other smalls.

I think it was same and it was the 257 that had a different clutch from the others

Yup and I know from experience that a 2 shoe clutch will get smoked by a modded 262.

gee wiz info...clutch assembly from a 357/359 is a bolt on upgrade if you have the newer style oil pump drive.

Gonna do some more clean up on the lowers. The are so long because my “OCD” kicked in when I was trying to make them perfectly straight at the bottom. I had an “O *s-word” moment and didn’t go any further.

Glad you stopped, those cylinders are NLA but you’re doing good work bub. Don’t forget how much my 254 impressed you with just a thinner base gasket, MM and a little timing advance.

Seal carrier in. There is an O-ring as well.
