So I am finally getting around to putting my 2100 together and I have two pistons for it. One piston is a used OEM piston that has been cleaned up with scotchbrite or something of the like. The other piston is a new Golf piston. Which would you run? I have Cabers for either route. I can take pictures of the OEM piston if it may sway the decision.

If the OEM measures in spec I would definitely go that route.

Has anyone torture tested one of the gulf or little red barn pistons? I have a cylinder here that is barely serviceable. Wondering if I should try it in a mill saw and see how long before it grenades. My only concern would be a really catastrophic disintegration wrecking cases etc
