I’m wondering how well this saw is going to go over here on the west side almost sounds like an east coast/Europe saw.

That extra weight should help it balance longer bar and the torque should be better. I’m a little disappointed they didn’t equip air injection. If the rest of the saw is good... then no biggie I guess.

If it wont filter properly, I'm sure maxflow will step in.

My 7900 does admirably good and it doesn’t have air injection, just a well designed system. So maybe they improved it on the 500i who knows...

Yeah, my 7900s always kept a filter pretty clean. I bet they have something figured out, they have been making some good stuff.

I hope the 500i is like a modern day 7900 with fuel injection

Wow that 500i is hot stuff. Barely any more weight than the 462.

Maybe why they kept it in Europe for so long before releasing over here. We just got it available in WA last Friday.

Hmmm. Can't oil a 25" bar??? Maybe try drilling the oil holes in bar a little bigger? Get more oil to the bar.

The pin just keeps the Oiler from being turned to the max position. The range of motion seems to be on par with the older models when the pin is in. It oils fine

No need, just push the pin in and turn to max. Then it oils like a 365/372.

Yes just seemed drier than I'm used to. Tomorrow when I get back to cutting I am planning to run it turned up all the way and then bring it back if it's too high

I've always used the fling test with the tip in front of a light piece of wood.
