The dealer did say they have a lot of shaft parts in stock but that will be once again another 50 mile round trip for parts which in both time and fuel cost is starting to add up.


Plus not even sure they'll have what o need. My neighbor has a machine shop and after talking to tree monkey by accident I think neighbor can make the part for me.

I removed the decomp arm off the cam to eliminate any issue with that. Did a leak down test at 70 psi I'm losing just under 2 psi.

Put a new carb on it and runs exactly as before. Try to idle up it dies. It will idle all day long though. Very frustrating. I have trimming jobs being held up by this machine.

I looked at the echo 280 today but absolutely dislike the loop handle design.

All I run at work are the Stihls, not by choice. They break a lot more maintenance. I have a lot 260 or 261 can't even remember and 266 at home. Best pole saws money can buy in my opinion. Less vibration too. And the loop eliminates most of the vibration and fatigue on my hand.
