Looks like a serated steak knife blade
Pull the cutters off the machine, take them apart and sharpen them one cutter at a time with a hand held grinder. Follow the angles there and keep in mind that they cut at the corner where the blades meetI cut some hedge today, need some tips to sharpen my 30 inch blade .View attachment 19401

That came out real nice !
You could take another swipe or two in the gullet, just enough to make the side plate straight all the way down to the chassis
That's a good looking tooth ,run it ,for those starting square filing ,the way this tooth side plate is will cut pretty smooth ,if you angle the side plate with more hook that makes it grabbier in my experience .Guys, I took a stab at converting a round chain to square using a three corner file in a Granberg. I'm impressed by what you guys are doing freehand.
I think based on what I've seen I'm getting the corners close to correct, but would appreciate comfirmation. Some of the other cutters had the corner a smidge lower than this.
Do I need to clean the gullets more?

Thanks. I do have plenty that don't look as good, but I did find that I could move the corner fairly easy once the file had the basic shape on the cutter. I tried to avoid corners that were to high but I've got a number that are a little low. I think I will go back and try to get them all right.
The Granberg/three corner file setup didn't work exactly like I thought it would. I think I used 35 degrees on the top plate, 25 degrees of tilt, and an eyeball estimate on how far back the file was rotated. I missed the straps on one side, and consistently nicked them on the other side. I'll try to figure out why that is, as it would seem that the cutters have to be different side to side which can't be good.
Which Granberg jig are you using for doing this?Guys, I took a stab at converting a round chain to square using a three corner file in a Granberg. I'm impressed by what you guys are doing freehand.
