I absolutely prefer the double bevel files, but my cheap-hack-azz wont let me throw away the triangle files, so I learned how to use them.

IMHO, they work just fine on 375 and 404, anything smaller and your better off with the double bevels

Bet it will be a little aggressive. New chain for the 084?
Naaaa..
Remember the custom round chain they wouldn't let me use for the loggers class?
I just filed a flat top plate on it last night.
And increased the top plate angle.
Gonna be a chain for pine and cottonwood.

So i must have watched the Mdavlee video like 100 times but i think i'm missing something. Are the steps required the same to convert a circle filed chain to a square?

What are the regs for built chain?
Are there any documents listing prequalifications and/or tolerances?
For the loggers class, the only posted rule was it must be round filed chain..
Which it was. But they decided to use an out of the box chain instead.
Sorta crapped in my cheerios.. I thought I had that class dicked.

Left hand cutter..
In theory, this cutter shouldn't make too long a chips in soft stuff.
But they shouldn't hang around long either.

But I been wrong before.

Squarefile's chain that won the 1st PS race was what made me try this.
We'll see if it works with the bigger cutters.

Top plate looks awefully thin ;)
