The tooth looks fine … but … raker looks too high, and worse, the bottom of that chain does not look good. It may not cut straight even if you do everything else right.

The rakers aren’t set yet. Just working on filing then back. I may take a better look at the bottom of the chain. It is a used chain, but didn’t have a ton of use.

Found locally through AS (in Milwaukee if you can believe that)

Well I finally got some double bevel files in today. This is my first attempt with them, .325x.063 it seems to self feed alright. Depth gauges set at .025


Tear it up and let me know what you think

Think I will grind them from round to square from now on but I know I can convert if I need to now by hand.

Get it in some wood and let us know how you like it. Maybe some timed comparison cuts with same saw and round chain vs. Squared chain using same bar.
