After seeing the 2nd pic it doesn't look as aggressive. Raker does look a little low but hard to tell by eyeClean corner, sharp top. Appears to be fairly aggressive side and guide.
Do you agree?
Second pic shows a tad of beak, not what I'd want in a work loop but I do agree with your statement. It looks like a different cutter than the original. After seeing the 2nd pic it doesn't look as aggressive. Raker does look a little low but hard to tell by eye
Generally higher. If you have a dry hard piece of oak you have to drop them a little...I find it won't feed with them up high.Do you guys usually set rakers a little lower with a square file vs. a round filed chain? Or about the same?
Ran it around again and took the beak off. I have yet to install my new slide kit. It's got some slop in the old girl yet.Second pic shows a tad of beak, not what I'd want in a work loop but I do agree with your statement. It looks like a different cutter than the original.
I like that top plate angle..As for the top plate...I've struggled to get that to swing around on this grinder. Hope the new slide kit I can get to the top to swing around more around 15° or so. Honestly those angles hold up pretty good and even when I've hit fence wire it doesn't go all apart.
