I'm looking out there, and everybody has a diffferent number. How many feet can I easily re-string with and have the line eject easily? Using Black Diamond Twisted line. Thanks in advance.

I’ve never measured it. I pulled a bunch off the roll and wound it up. I’d guess 20ish feet?

I don't know for certain which model of speed feed I have but I would bet it is a 400. I load it with around 12ft of .095 line and it feeds well. I use my wingspan as a measurement when I pull the line off the roll. My wingspan is 6ft and if I try to load 18ft of line, it binds up and I have to cut the line shorter.

That's what I do too.

Same thing i do as well. I was just guessing it might hold 20ft, but i’ve never loaded it all the way up.

So, dumb question. Does line eject from centrifugal force on its own, or do you always have to smack the bump head on the ground to get the line to shoot out?

It's a bump head just like a normal trimmer head.
