How many saw forums do you regularly visit?

Randy had like 40k of posts on AS and probably double that in 'likes'. He did many how to threads, build threads, fund raising threads and really made a BIG contribution to what was good about the place. To now ban him from using the pm system and treating like a nasty person is pretty poor. I still go on AS but not anywhere near as much as I did, its just not that interesting anymore and has nowhere near what it used to too offer its membership. The balance of knowledge, noobs, trolls and quality threads has really changed for worse. I really liked AS and met some fine guys and learned a lot, its just not the same anymore sadly. This place is alive and happening, its growing fast and is an interesting place, I don't think this will be another 'fly by' saw forum. The foundations are already looking strong.

Why the hell would they block you from using PM's?

WoodChuck'r had his PMs taken away before SawHawgz even went live, I believe. Never to be returned.

Darin told me that someone told him (he said, she said bullspit) that I was using the PMs to recruit members for this site. I did tell a few people that I would be here, rather than there. I just typed out opeforum.com in the message, no sneaking around. After a while they blocked this web address. He was reading my PMs though........because he said I was telling people to email me......and that was how I was recruiting.

Anyone that has ever had me do any work for them knows that the first thing I do is have the customer send me an email. PMs are not searchable, so I use gmail, and google calendar.

OPE is the forum I check in with first. I like the folks @ FHC very well and still check out AS, but mostly for reference material. As OPE grows, I can see AS dropping off the list.

On SawHawgz, I check out the NSP thread, and a few of the saw threads. I have a lot of friends there....good people.

I went to AS a few days ago looking for advice on the Mac flatback carbs. Mark was who I was looking for. I'm blocked from using the PM system, so I started a thread. Within a few minutes, my thread was deleted.

To me that was some pretty childish *B-S........

I have no plans to post anything else there.

Wtf? Why don't they just ban you if they don't let you use PM or start a thread... It's nearly pointless to take that away. That's not right IMO.

Whut's a chainsaw forum? I joined this one cause T1 said it was about a certain character on Andy of Mayberry and I resembled the sherrif named Barney. So I signed up to see what I resembled, but I ain't seen nothing about Mayberry yet.
