How do you shut off your saw ..... and WHY?

I submerge mine in water to shut them down. Keeps everything all shiny inside and out.

That is an excellent idea, though I will have to figure out how to explain always carrying that 5gal bucket of water into the woods everytime I wrastle with a tree...

I did, but I can’t aim those like I used to and it got messy. That’s how I figured out submersion is best. Cleaned up the mess and killed the saw.

You may be right on the ethanol, any time I Ops check my kill fart potency in the truck with the windows up and heat on my wife says it burns her eyes.

- Two known crying BS artists put that saw together at different times (one for sure, the other "allegedly" did so)
- Lack of pictures of the piston/cylinder after an "alleged" teardown prior to running
