I'm 50/50 on the weather turning. Got some painting, roofing and car work that could use some 70* days but probably too late for that. [emoji853]

Don't get me wrong sir, I greatly appreciated the extended summer and made good use of the time. Got most everything up to par heading into winter. Now with these shorter days it's time for family, saws, firewooding and a little hunting. But I'm glad not to be running the air conditioning anymore.

I have to brag some, so, please excuse me.
My son has been working, off and on, on this gate for about 4 months. I decided to let him take the lead on this project, even though he's never done anything like this before. Oh, he's fabricated things for his truck project and such. But nothing like this. There were so many unknowns. A lot of things he didn't have experience with. He drew up plans for it, then checked them with me. Started with a cut off wheel to cut the steel. Then bought a bandsaw to finish cutting all the pipe stock. He'd get frustrated with it. (Nervous about building the whole thing, I guess). I told him a long time ago, when its getting to you, it's time to stop and think things through for a while. Get it straight in your mind, then go work some more. He went through about 5 different designs on the hinges until he was convinced he had the right design.
I helped start them today to get it hung, then stepped out of the way and let him handle the show. (Actually, I had a nascar race to watch).
Son and daughter finished it up this evening just before dark and it works beautifully.
Just like he planned.
I love it when a plan comes together.
Especially when it was his plan.

Eventually I'd like to build a firewood trailer where I could stack 2-4 ricks individually, leaning at an angle like an inverted V running lengthwise down the middle. It would make separate deliveries a bit easier as far as keeping the volume correct.

Morning fella's. Monday has arrived. Spent some time in the woods with the Blue 7910 this weekend. Really the first couple tanks of mix through it since I upgraded it last year. Runs real nice so far. Got a bit more wood hauled back to the house and still a bit more to go.
