Nice to see progress. I'm on my third concrete contractor that the building supplier has referred. I'd like to find one that will carry through with his promises. None have taken the time to go far enough to even provide an estimate. Close to telling the building supplier that I want my money back. I think three months is long enough to wait for some action. Last guy was like that. He was honest and said that it would be 5-6 weeks before he would get to it because he would have to work it in between his big jobs or might get to it quicker if there was a holdup on them.Went through the same thing about 15 years ago when I built my shop and deck. I wanted a 24x24 pad for my shop and a 24x24 foundation added to the back of my house for the deck. Later, if I decide to, I can build an extra room onto my house. Called up about a dozen concrete contractors. Only one came out and took the job. Took about 6 weeks to do the job and got took for about 3 grand above what we had agreed upon. I learned a hard lesson there. Most concrete guys ar'nt interested in doing individual projects. Now, if I were building a subdivision, I couldn't beat them off with a club.
Big problem is the "wonderful" Greene County inspectors. I think that contributes to the lack of interest the contractors have due to battling and waiting for them. The last contractor informed me that the clock would be running while waiting for the inspectors.[emoji34]Need to have a concrete GTG at your place, Steve. I'm sure there's enough people here to help out. If you need any assistance, I'll be happy to help.
Shoot, I even restrung my own venition blinds once AND stayed in a Holiday Inn Express, too.

I actually like pouring and finishing concrete. Trouble is, I'm getting too old for that stuff.
If a man has to end up doing it himself, just break it into smaller pours, use #4 rebar at the joints, and drink lots of water.
