Youngest son is looking (thinking stage) for an old V-8 Ford/Chevy car/truck to build a hot rod out of.

Reason I switched from a Holly to a Qjet on my vet. No wetted gaskets. I've seen a couple vets burn down because of a leaky carb.

Always carry the fire extinguisher in the garage with me after tinkering the carb.

A well set up Qjet is hard to beat.
Thermoquads were a nightmare.

Use 60 bucks worth of parts.
The carb shop built awesome
Q jets. I saw a 7o cutlass
Running low 9's on a carb shop
Q jet. Great drivability
On a good set up one

Got my objective done today. Got one of the big oaks cut out of his yard. It fell across his chain link fence a year ago. Fortunately his fence wasn't damaged too bad because his storage shed took the brunt of the tree. As in smashed. His dogs were using the trunk as a means of escape. Trunk eliminated, so no more getting out. He's happy now. Decided I'm going to get a 36 inch for the 390. Could've used one today.
Anybody up for a small GTG/Charity cut? I put the idea to him and he's all excited for it.
June 11th. He said he'll even cook up two racks of ribs for it. Still have two oaks to cut up and three standing dead to take down plus whatever else he might want down too.

Pretty close Carl. Barker AH-81, IEL RA, Mall OMG, Zip, Super Wiz 66 with a clearing bar, a Super 2100 Automatic parts saw. And around 100 NOS Mono/Power Products parts.
