Thanks, everything on it is oem that pa dan and Mike got for me. I think it has an 066 jug that scarr ported, and I’m pretty sure he did some carb work on it as well.

Wasn't that the JMS disaster that had a bar stud pulled out and it was cracked almost through the bar pad? If so I'm glad I could get it fixed up!

That’s the one, you did alot of work on the saw. If I’m not mistaken, you put 661 bar studs in it for me, and then machined it down. I know it was a pia with the old bar studs. Now the bar sits on the studs, like it should. Seems like it has more of a lip, or shank on these bar studs. Been awhile, not sure everything you did scarr. But you saved the saw for me. Thanks again

I just put modern 660 bar studs in it and then counterbored the clutch cover to fit over them.

... He doesn’t like forum guys for whatever reason

Kevin, there are quite a few that don't like them forum guys, shaking their fists and calling out the OPE family.

We wonder why ... ???

If your chosen builder is backed up and you will not see your saw for a few, maybe a sign of good times, rather than flapping on them Y.T. about fluff or vanishing with them customers' saws.

There was a guy in Ireland with a load of his saws.
He had a youtube channel but it seems to be gone. He went by "outinthewood" all one word.
His saws always seemed to cut good but he only ever cut spruce, which is fairly soft.

Lol.
I’ve heard of lawsuits and stuff. Never heard anymore about it.

Lots of guys bash this place because they’ve been booted or can’t/won’t conform. But they’re here as much as anywhere reading and scrounging for info in the shadows

I'll scratch my head for a long time wondering how that guy had the "buddies" he did.

How "J".... pulled the wool over people like he did was literally incredible, then the even slower people defended him.

Sign of the times.

Spruce is so soft, framing nails wont hold it. Construction screws only. All saws run fast in spruce. Just a basic 1hr epileptic seizure with a burr grinder and a base gasket delete, my 70 cc saws will pull 12k rpms with a 28" bar full of spruce using full house chain. Definitely softer than doug fur, but spruce is not as soft as cedar and pine.
