Not a chainsaw but based on homelite XL 12 chassis.
So, just got a Homelite XL 100 circular saw. Cant get it to idle low enough to stop the blade from spinning and wants to die when tipped sideways. So, anyone know crossover numbers for the seals. Homelite numbers are 58688A (2 ea) and 56256 (1 ea).
also looking for an owners manual and a service manual
Thanks much

Sounds like a nice find Jerry. Post some pics when you get a chance.

Steve, I saw you mighta been thinkin bout one so if you been lookin youve seen this on ebay. Guy painted it. Good job But ive discovered on some of my endeavors that rattle can paint doesnt last well. Im happy with it but still got to replace seals. Also, had to steal the choke rod off my xl12 and also needs a throttle lock. Guy says he has two more

Looks pretty nice Jerry. The main thing is if all the circular saw parts are in good shape. Some day I'll hopefully come across one.

Ill see the gears when i do the seals. Did a short run and cut. Seems to work. Time will tell
I sniped this one and paid so much less than i figured i was shocked. Ive seen these things go from $500 to over a grand. Thats why ive never had one before. Believe me when i say i was shocked at what i paid

That's cool. I've never seen one before. I wonder why Husqvarna or Stihl doesn't make them today.

Two more saws like that? I’d love to have one if he’s selling them.....

Great find. I’ve got lots of XL-12 parts to fix one....
