So this 150A I'm reviving has the Tilly HK carb and when I pulled it apart the metering lever spring launched into orbit. I managed to find the older RK-2-HK kit which includes the spring, but it's obviusly for two different HK variants and actually came with two springs that are distinctly different sizes. Anyone know which one goes to an HK-3B?

This Super Mini SL had a bad solid state coil. I didn't have the exact one so I took one of my new coils for a XL-12/SXL and swapped cores. The VI setup works very well limiting vibration.

So got back around to the 150A today and used the shorter spring pictured for the metering lever, but now don't have any spark. Re-set the points to .015 same as last time but no sparky this time. May have gotten lucky the first time around. Is there any secret to setting these points that I may be missing? They do mention a points 'wrench' to set em while tightening, but the setup looks like a straightforward one to me.

I was given some additional Homelite eye candy today with the understanding this will be on display in my museum. She also indicated she would give me his old shop manual, parts lists, etc. that will go in my library section.

Does anyone know what these would have been used for?

Depending on the diameter, the two smaller ones may be for installing bar stud inserts.

Large one looks like starter cord or some such could be wrapped around it but suspect it was just a handy piece of bar stock to make a clutch toolout of as above...

Got my spark back on the 150..., along with a new fuel leak. Not a good combination.

Anyone have any inlet barb substitute suggestions for this cracked plastic one? It's a Tilly HK-3B.

There were multiple containers filled with mowers, snow blowers, string trimmers and leaf blowers, but I was able to rescue most of the saws from the scrap heap and have them stored for now in my son's overflow garage space. The balance of the saws and a large lot of NOS Homelite parts will be offered by Backes Auction (http://www.backes-auction.com/upcoming-auctions) look for Higby Company down the list.

Today Pat sent me home with all of the Homelite documentation she/we could find and a micro-fiche reader to accompany the selection of micro-fiche she found. I've run out of room in the shop so I am starting to fill up my basement workbench now.
