Looks like the older style stihl chain.

For meager 12$ get a couple and try them out?! o_O

I gave TriLink chain a try, bought 5 loops off German eBay.
They are good for dirty logs and stumps, but they are performing below average for regular everyday use.
Also, two of the two loops I have used snapped before I wore the teeth out.
I have three more TriLink loops left, they will most like sit on the shelf for a while.

Whenever the price seems too good to be true , it usually is.

Nate had Oregon loops on sale in that price range, don't know if he still has though.
Even the Vanguard can be made fast with a little effort, just saying.

Hmm, 4.30$ for a 68DL + 5$ shipping - I might get a pair for giggles as I am short on 18" loops. o_O
Is that web shop legit?

The cheapest loop I can get locally in 72DL is 15$, no brand whatsoever on it.

The web site is legit, I have ordered other stuff from there. No price break on shipping kills the 3/8" pitch chain for me, each additional loop adds ~$5 more to the shipping cost. Also pay attention to the description, IIRC the 3/8" wording originally said "German made blade". Now just "German technology" or "German blade". I would not bet on any part of that chain being made in Germany. I have not used any though, can't speak for the quality. May be good? ???

I have a couple loops of it. I don't think the cutters are actually made in Germany but rather German (stihl) designed. I think it is all China made. That being said when sharp cuts really good. Stays about as sharp as my oregon chains but not as sharp as real Stihl chain. For the weekend wood warrior it would work fine.

Pass!
5$ shipping on each loop kills the deal.

I'll just get a carbide 68DL Stihl Rapid Duro 3 which was my plan ever since I got my PS-550 anyway.

I have only used it for 024/026 flywheel side seals so far and it does work. Only thing is you have to find best fitting jaws for the seal to be removed, otherwise you will be wasting you time with this tool. It seems that they have copied even the numbers of the jaws from stihl, so service manuals are some help when trying to find best fitting jaws for the job.
If removing pto side seals, sharp punch and drywall screw are my choice...;)

I like how it looks and cut out of the box. Good enough for fire woodcutters for sure.

But seemed real soft hand filing yesterday.

Chain on the G66. Out of the box pic when new.
