Will this work on a 262? My dad lost his clutch cover 2 months ago. He is really wanting to be able to use his saw.

You'll need to find one from a 257, 261, or 262.

Curious how one loses an entire cover....?

I’m not sure, he has a huge shop and the area where we work on saws, has lots of saws. We both have looked for many hours and it is nowhere to be found. We did find the bar and chain.

I am pretty sure that the 257,261,262 side covers are plastic, so a thrown chain could do some damage...
You would have to have a really strong arm to throw a chain that hard.....LOL!

I've thrown chains a few times, and never blown out a clutch cover. The chain catcher is there for a reason.

Maybe on 30 year old brittle plastic?

I already won a saw and claimed a recoil.
Thanks anyway
Somebody get this
Cake saws to work on
Good power for their size.
I generally would be calling "Dibz", but at this point I need another saw like a two dicked Billie Goat needs a third dick....
