Mike, does Klotz (R50 or Tech) leave the inside of the muffler wet if not milling?800 is clean cause it doesn't burn until you have a saw really loaded.
That's what I thought.Run some klotz super technoplate at 32:1 and it won't be dry,it will run out the muffler.
How do you like it Brian? I've considered using it, its cheap and readily available.Saber 32 to 1 ,piston is slick ,can is dry with 3 exhaust ports .Semi sooty looking can though .Says on bottle formulated for saws .View attachment 13061 View attachment 13062 View attachment 13063

Depends on the tune. It's not sopping wet like 800. The klotz will burn and leave a deposit on the crown. The saws run better with klotz over 800.Mike, does Klotz (R50 or Tech) leave the inside of the muffler wet if not milling?
If you don't like rust/corrosion forget using hygroscopic synthetic oil. It also promotes blow by, poor ring seal and stinks and does not want to combust. A better option would be an oil that assists in the combustion process, would'nt it? You really can pay 3X-5X the price for a totally unsuitible oil for your saw if you want too.......many do.lol! I have yet to see a failure directly linked to the use of a mineral oil, have you?I've heard of rusty cranks using Dominator....it says on the bottle not to use it in boats that aren't frequently torn down.

Dolmar synthetic at 50:1What kind of oil?
The rust was in dirt bikes though not a chain saw.My saws are covered in oil so I don't think they can rust but I have been wrong before.
