Let's put this into a real 8-year perspective. Whether your thing is going by a Gregorian or Julian calendar...Kenny had 2,920 days, lets add two more days because of leap years, 2922 days...to get this man his saw back. I could've walked the damn thing from Georgia to Washington state ten dozen times in that timeframe...and I know damn well the distance between Philly and western NC just ain't near the effort involved!

"Kenny, Kenny, Kenny, Kenny, Kenny Chameleon...
You come and go...You come and go"

No pitch fork raised here. Never been in jail or had a drug or alcohol problem either (just some occasional isolated incidents with alcohol lol). I’m not out to destroy Kenny and know nothing about him outside OPE, but after 8 years he’s had plenty of time to make it right. Maybe he would make the best of a 2nd chance if he was allowed back but thats not for me to decide.

I didn't see any forks either...

I was kinda hoping Kenny would do as Randy asked and validate himself...seemed like a small request for a guy that needed a 2nd chance...

Ask yourselves. If you were robbed while on vacation, come home to house broken into and stuff missing to later find out a "friend" of yours did it, are you ever letting him back into your life? I mean he only robbed you once right? Something's warrant a second chance but in my experience, once a lying thief, always a lying thief.

Idk..I know some people that turned their life around..it happens..

I don't have a weak constitution..I never used the old "sorry I was drunk" as an excuse. Anything I ever did wrong I accepted the consequences and took it like a man.

As far as I see it Kenny dug his own hole, Randy didn't just jump the gun and ban the guy, he gave him more than 1 opportunity to stand up...

People operate on pure emotion now instead of reason. Randy's job on this forum is to try to keep it as straight as he can, some things are business..never personal.

I realize know body is perfect but usually the older snd more set in your ways the less likely it is you’ll change. Also one question for officer jeff, let’s say you end up on a call out in the middle of the woods to the power being out because someone took a power pole down. Turns out it’s a guy you we’re friends with and went to school with, you have opportunity to talk to him quick and let him go all you need to do is look around for him just awhile and say the guy was gone. Only one answer to this far as I’m concerned and that is you call it in and give the guy his dwi because only reason he’s where he’s at is because of him. This is a true story and it’s what happened to me on my second dui and was much more a wake-up call then my buddy bringing me home.

When he told Monkey either *f-wordk you, get *f-wordked, however he termed it in that one post...I knew then his arrogant and narcissistic eagle mouth done overloaded that canary ass!

As far as the one's that say poor ol' Kenny deserved another chance...how many of you offered up a replacement saw to send 71Dart, on Kenny's behalf? How many plan to send Kenny a saw to port? Got-damn crickets now...

I certainly wasn't particular or keen on seeing Kenny go, especially not for trying a little side porting hustle. He chose not to be cooperative though and not shut that down on his own. And if a man was foolish enough to send him a saw, then that's on him theory. Hell, I was just getting pretty good at figuring out the head-scratchin' Hebrew/Vulcan tongue the man typed in. When the 024 saw deal came to light...the man simply showed his true colors. And you get what you get!

Not really. He has a job to do and they both know they screwed up

It's simply a matter of owning your chit.

Most of you guys know that I'm a recovering drug addict, and an ex con. If not for having the steps, and a hard core sponsor in NA, I seriously doubt any of you would have ever known me. So when you guys talk about second chances......I know what you are talking about. NA allowed me to have a second chance. It wasn't just handed to me. Nobody "gave" it to me. I didn't just sign up and all was right in the world for me. I worked my ass off to find that new way to live. I went to meetings up to 5 nights a week, worked a step a month, every month for three years solid. I did service work, and carried the message that an addict can find a new way to live into jails, prisons, and treatment centers. I wrote a monthly newsletter for the Upper Cumberland Area Of Narcotics Anonymous for 5 years. Those newsletters are still in the archives on the area website I suppose. Maybe y'all wanna read some of em? Some of my articles were published by NA World Services. Yes......I put in the effort. I didn't deny that I'd made mistakes. I faced up to them, and did everything in my power to make it right.

So tell me......how do we allow Kenny to have a second chance if he won't even admit that he did anything wrong? You do realize that at any point he could have reached out to me and asked me to help him return Todd's saw. But I never heard from him......did any of you guys?

Yes own it.
A second chance is earned.
Some people feel it is not worth the cost and others feel the cost is worth it even if it is only for their own self esteem.
You and you alone must make the choice.

We all make mistakes/ bad choices in life. What we do about it and learn makes the difference.
