He’d look at a worthless f’ng child molester the same way. ‘He ain’t bad…he only molested one child, not half a dozen’.

And this dude made a living in LE…gotta be kidding me.
Just my two bits, most guys probably don't go into LE jobs because they figure everybody is evil and needs to be hauled off to jail. They probably figure most of society is decent or just needs a little motivation to stay on the straight and narrow and there's only a small number of guys that are scum and need their ass locked up. As such, they are probably more willing to offer guys a second chance. That's just their personality, and I'd rather have a Rhode Island Chevy kinda guy in my rearview when I was going too fast than y'all.

Kenny is a little different no doubt. Thus why we needed Fruehauf for a translator.
Sheez Jeff for they've had you up against the ropes giving you a hiding for 6 pages! You have nothing to gain or lose standing up for Kenny & what you see as a fair go. These type of threads draw in the heavyweights who like to see a good ol public execution so your not gonna find much support. But I think you have a valid point about it being a one off unlike some who kept taking work well after their ship had sunk leaving many out of pocket. Also it was 8 years ago (not saying that makes it ok). Randy charges like wounded bull to a red flag when someone is up to no good & fks with the forum, 1 year, 2 years or ten he's old school like that and doesn't forget a bad deed. I think it's hard to save Kenny. I'm of the belief that's he's more got a few screws loose than is an active thief out to rob and deceive everyone he can. Some folks aren't blessed with a lot & for Kenny I think he enjoyed being here. I couldn't understand much of what he posted either. Who knows whats really going on in his life. I too would at least like to see him have a chance to make things right, but I fear he probably couldn't even if he wanted to. Right or wrong Jeff standing up for what you believe to be fair is worth doing despite standing alone.

Just being a quag bubble off doesn't in and of itself mean much to me. If that's all it was I'd jump in and help defend.
It also doesn't give a license to harm others in any form, seeing Kenny crossed that line on his own free will, it made me stand back a bit to try and get a better picture, that didn't get any better. As far as second chances go, all that happened to him was banishment from a minuscule place on the internet, there's still the rest of the world wide web for him to roam.
I wish Kenny luck and may this be to the betterment to him in a big picture kinda way. Even if it's just keeping plenty of Gov't translators employed.
He'll be okay
I've been banned from most of the chainsaw pages on the Facebook
And I'll get through it somehow.

Let us not turn on each other!

@RI Chevy , just let it go, the Kenny thing is a done with matter!
I am certain You are one of the good guys, don't make Yourself a target.
Just ignore this whole thread as if doesn't exist! :)

I have no dog in this fight so I refrain myself from posting on this matter.
Do I follow it?
Only as long as the individual posts aren't too long winded. ;)

Personally I had no dealings with Kenny.
I have one dormant short convo with him, that is it.
I can and will not vouch for him, nor can and will I shun him.

I have open dealings with members that I need to take care of, so I know that sometimes things just don't go as fast and smooth as intended - but I know that all open dealings need to be taken care off in a positive manner for both sides!

Cheers :beer-toast1:

Ok, lemme take a crack at this Jeff. I think this thread illustrates the importance of having good, smooth, business transactions.

2 things are missing here... #1, nobody has come forward to vouch for Kenny for ANY business dealing (which means most folks that have interacted with him have had either bad or crappy experiences) let alone porting saws, #2, Kenny has had plenty of chances to come on and show photos of what he can do and how he can do it. the only photos I saw were a pile of 200t head photos in some random thread a while ago that hardly prove prowess at porting

in direct contrast to how many years he has been around, how many words he has put to paper, there's just nothing there to vouch for him in any way. Seems to me like this isn't a matter of giving a 2nd chance but a matter of Kenny not actively building a positive reputation (because he can't or won't...doesn't matter).

Which to me brings up the class lesson and hammers home the main point. Even a small transaction can make or break you. Actively seeking to build a good reputation is HUGE, whether it be a buyer, seller, or porter/servicer.

The fact that Kenny didn't, means his exit ticket was punched years ago.

my 2 cents :)
hell, i tried selling kenny some parts a while back. told him specifically what i had. he rattled off a bunch of other nonsense that he needed totally unrelated to what i told him i had. then i said sorry looks like i dont have anything for ya. then he went on a bit of a rant. then i said what a waste of f-ing time. thats the moment ken went on ignore.

Very surprised by how much a "Second Chance" has given many of us here and we have clearly much to owe for having been given a second chance in life. Many of us have left lives of booze and drugs to become model citizens because we had a "Second Chance"...
Funny how many of those are "Casting the biggest STONE" here....
How about we put the pitchforks down a bit with some reflection first. Just so we are clear, Jail is a second chance at rehabilitation. So all Y'all that were ever released from jail might wanna lower the forks some.

Angelo...totally get what you are saying.

I'm just saying that every day is a chance to make something happen. Instead of taking the opportunity to have positive interactions it seems like he went out of his way to make things difficult. He had 8 years and had zero positive interactions with forum members (which means nobody will vouch for him). Every day was a chance to buy or sell something small and create good will. In this case it was a zero....and some in the minus column. He chose to squander his opportunities with anyone that offered help.

My comment has ZERO to do with Kenny

I get where you are coming from. I appreciate it as well. As usual, there is more to this deal than many here realize. I didn't just wake up one morning and decide to single Kenny out and be rid of him. His behavior here has been under scrutiny for awhile. It started with new members reporting on him trolling them for the opportunity to port saws. I had no idea what had happened on AS in the past, but once it was brought to light, coupled with the current situation, he could no longer be allowed here. For those who can't understand this, I'm not sure how to explain it in a way that you ever will. It's been careful laid out multiple times....but as usual, that's not enough.

We have a responsibility to protect our members from those who are not capable of dealing fairly with them. And will continue to do that.

If that is too much for anyone to bear, then there are plenty of other places on the world wide web that you can visit.

Ask yourselves. If you were robbed while on vacation, come home to house broken into and stuff missing to later find out a "friend" of yours did it, are you ever letting him back into your life? I mean he only robbed you once right? Something's warrant a second chance but in my experience, once a lying thief, always a lying thief.

No pitch fork raised here. Never been in jail or had a drug or alcohol problem either (just some occasional isolated incidents with alcohol lol). I’m not out to destroy Kenny and know nothing about him outside OPE, but after 8 years he’s had plenty of time to make it right. Maybe he would make the best of a 2nd chance if he was allowed back but thats not for me to decide.

Another point I will make. You can forgive someone but you don't need to allow them to have opportunity to wrong you or someone again. They do not need to be tied together. I have a pos nephew. He's a thief in a round about way. I have forgiven him for my own health. Harboring anger damages the vessel ya know. That said he has been cut from my life completely. He is just some guy from my past. Sometimes its the only way.
