I just made an impulse buy tonight, the 200T kit was on sale and that is the one of the saws I have always wanted so I gave in to temptation. Way back when I was trimming trees the 200T and 360 were my favorite saws. I am really happy with the power my 360 puts out but not sure what to expect from the 200T kit.

Has anyone put the Farmertech 200T box of parts together?

What parts did you swap with OEM?

Are there anythings to look out for?

12 or 14" bar or even 16 inch bar?

They are sold built as a Holzforma G111 or something. I saw a video of one running and it both looked, sounded & pretty much performed like a 200T. Only issue preventing me buying one for some fun is I have OEM 200t/201 and they are well over $300au, shipping is the killer. And for that sort of $ I could buy a running OEM saw. I'd love to run one for a day though!

I am leaning toward a 14" bar as this saw will go with me on trail rides so it has to for in my side x side. I gave up climbing long time ago, I never really got comfortable doing it. I will have to consult the IPL and see what rubber parts could be problematic.

Boot, impulse hose and fuel hose.

For insurance against ethanol.[emoji90]

AV mounts seem good to go. [emoji1696]

put a 12" bar on mine, used only parts from the kit.
Had to tweek the linkage a bit but that was easy enough to do, clutch cover didnt fit very good or the handle. Kit was missing the gas tank vent. That all as far as I remember.
Gets four out of ten cookies...

Only done a 372 before and it was alot nicer imo but less a complicated saw.

The usual change as in other parts saws, wrist pin bearing and defo piston wrist pin clips.. I had one pop out on a 200t :crybaby2: that I got as a non runner.. it was a leaky crank seal.. and I’d seen it was am topend, fixed the seal and put 2 tanks throu it, bam..it popped out & stopped working . :BangHead:
And I caught a ms180. Halfway out.. that someone else done:eek: which was not running at the time..

It looks like my kit will be here tomorrow! I am impressed at how fast it got here. Of course the chains and small items I ordered before this are out there "some where". At least I will have a saw kit to play with if I get quarantined lol.

I'll try to take pis as I go but I make no promises! I get easily distracted and forget about the camera.
I would dry build the whole saw first to see how the parts fit together, check all the clearances and know what needs attention first. Finding out after the fact on a 200 won't be good.

The AM rubber parts are junk imo but yours may vary.
They mounts didn't last me a month doing big heavy oak removals. The saw does and will get pinched or pulled in windy conditions. OE mounts make it through many pull a-ways and sometimes hung limbs on the saw. AM...not so much.
Everyone of my 200t saws are all oem for many reasons. Just trying out an Oregon spur now.

If I was still cutting professionally I would definitely be running Stihl OEM 200T's but being old fat and broken I just missed my 200T and wanted one in my arsenal again. The hardest thing it will do is ride in my side by side on trail rides for the occasional trail cleaning and pretty light work. I want it reliable but I don't plan on going over board with swapping out OEM parts.

Here are the first pictures of the MS200T chainsaw puzzle. The rewind came apart during shipping but it was an easy fix. I'm working on the handle today, I must say it is more complicated then I thought it would be.

Yup, the handle guts are a real puzzle.

Yeh a real puzzle. But like most puzzles. Just glance over it.. start somewhere, and if you can’t see an answer, start somewhere else. Or leave it for another day.(get your head around it). which has worked for me many times

You could say a bit like matching peices up in a jigsaw puzzle.

that said, a starter recoil ( your pic) can be a royal pain. But if you tackle it the righteous way. It can have a good outcome..

carry on please.. I have a bunch of time to kill.....o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O
