Dang man! I’m actually in fort smith and AQ closed down a couple years ago. Small world!

I’ve got a good friend, just retired from SEAL Team 8. He’s got a good story about hitting the pistol matches as a “newbie” (technically true) around Fort Smith. Translation: he was new to pistol matches, but did well :D

I got my MMWS 550 out for the first time today! Stuck it in the Sawhaul on the tractor, hooked up to the grapple, and headed out to clean up some brush and wind damage along some fence rows. I was grinning like the cat that ate the canary after I got done. Funnest little saw I've ever ran. Light and easy to flip around clearing brush. I didn't cut anything huge, mostly just tops and junk 8" and under. I did stop and cut a 16" cube out of an old poplar stump for fun, just to see how it acted with the bar buried. I sat down on the "chair" I had just cut out of the stump, and smoked a cigar to celebrate! I was impressed; its a snotty little bugger. Cut great considering it was a new chain that I haven't even touched with a file yet. I even cut a small dead hedge up for firewood that had fell out into the field. (Osage Orange if you drink tea with your pinky out.) For those unfamilar: dead aged hedge is only slightly softer than rock in my opinion. The 550XP wasn't phased a bit; pulled right through it, no complaints. This is my first Mastermind saw, and after one day with it, it's earned a permanent place on the tractor as my go-to saw for brush work. My 572 just got pushed off it's perch. Never would have predicted that before today! I got a 395 ordered from Randy too, but it'll be my stumpin' and big work saw, so the MMWS 550 will likely live on the tractor for the foreseeable future. Thanks a bunch Randy! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

I’m not surprised. I want a big MasterMind saw now, too.

I'm an Okie but married a Razorback and both of our kids and all but one grandkid were born there as well.

I lived in Ozark for 20yrs and worked in Ft Smith for many of those years.

I didn't realize there so many Arkansas boys on here. I love OK but there is something special about NW Arkansas. I think we will retire back there.

PM me. My family is from Ozark. I lived there for 25 years and my family has been there for 50 plus years.
