I have both gen. 4 and 5 19's and the 5 is just an awesome pistol. I really can't think of anything I would change about it. Interestingly, the OEM barrel eats up lead bullets no problemo. Mine is apparently a very early gen. 5 with no forward serrations (which I don't like anyway) and the half moon cutout on the bottom of the grip.

Have you fired your 22 yet? I wonder if the heavier slide dampens the muzzle jump any. I have a gen. 3 22 which I Frankensteined out of used parts from Fleabay and Gunbroker. It is set up for cast bullets with a throated LWD barrel. 3.5 grains Clays under a 175 grain truncated cone duplicates .38-40 or .44 Special power level and is quite accurate.
Yes, i put 150 through it the day i bought it. The heavier slide cuts the recoil down nicely. Its no worse than +p 9mm.
I have a Gen 5 19 too, as well as a 42 and 48.
I’m interested in how well the 47 is gonna sell.
