Anybody seen the 9mm AK's from Century? I've wanted a 9mm carbine like forever and really like the looks of them. Nobody makes a 9mm AR that is built the way I like it for less than a grand. I'd have to figure out something to sell first though.

My wife..... Yes my wife. Bought one of them. I thought it was totally stupid and a waste, but then we had a range day. I am completely different than my first impressions now. It's a blast to shoot and very accurate. The mag they come with sucks but I had a extra few from my glock days and all is good now.

Personally if it were mine. I would put a magpul grip and stock on it. The century hardware is a bit small in the grip and short on the stock for me. But it fits her perfect. So it's not going to get changed.

They accept most side mount ak optic kits as well. The factory sights are minimal at best. It is a ak after all.

I am really interested in the round fired from a long barrel. I know that at about 75 yards the bullets start to tumble out of my cz 75 compact.

Depends on velocity and weight. But most in the 115-147 we have shot seem to be very stable. Don't really shoot them past 75-100yd but at those distances they really pack a punch compared to a pistol. Very noticeable difference on a 1/2 steel plate. Impact is comparable to hearing a 38spl then a 9mm. Quite a bit more ring/thud and stuff.

I had a Ruger PC 9 for awhile. Neat gun, but feels alot bigger and heavier than it looks and accuracy was never what I wanted it to be with factory or reloads. I think the takedown feature on that gun is not good for accuracy, there are lots of threads on Ruger forums about how to tighten it just right. Sold it for what I paid and the customer was happy with it, so its all good.

Centerfire has the WASR 9mm for 499.00 right now, they are way more than that everywhere else. I actually like AK sights, they work well for my eyes. Can't think of what I would cash in right now to make it happen tho. What can I say, I've always got the gun lust!

Stevetheboatguy- are the sights on your wife's WASR adjustable for windage? What distance does it seem to zero at with the rear sight in the downmost position?

Zero windage adjustment. Full down is good for 25-75 yd with minimal compensation I'd guess 50 is pretty close to ideal for full down.



This is the scope mount I like the best. It sits a bit taller and you get less cheek slap. The utg m70 mounts a a hair too low. I modified one to work. But the one below is the nuts.

This is really what I want, a replica of the Colt 635 submachinegun. A pistol, rifle, or SBR is fine with me but I lean more towards the rifle since I live out in the country. Far as I know, Rock River Arms is about the cheapest at around $900.00. Actual 635 uppers go for more than a grand when you can find them.

Any of you gents tried out the PSA Dagger ? I have a buddy that says they are the best deal out there right now. Apparently they are a knock off of the Glock 19.

I am not as tuned in as some do I am sure some of you have tried them.

A couple of guy's shooting idpa at my friends range say they are great pistols
They prefer them to Glocks.
And these guy's shoot weekly they have a lot of rounds through them in the past year.

I don't own any Gen5's but my favorite Glock is a Gen 3 with the "Rough Texture Frame" option. It has a very course stipling on it and I greatly prefer it over the standard finish.

The original shield is by far the most popular carry gun in my area I've ever seen they have been excellent
Most of my friends that carry had them.
This new version is just slightly larger in the grip of course it makes more comfortable I think
And the flat face trigger really sells it to me personally

I never liked the hinged triggers either
But the 2.0 versions are so good I'll never change them
I've shot a sig 365 and a hellcat I prefer the gx4 and shield they are my favorites
That gx4 has 5-600 through it no failure's
I bought another one I liked it so much
They were only 265.00 for the taurus
and the smith was 400.00

I just bought a Glock 22 Gen 5 on Saturday.

I have both gen. 4 and 5 19's and the 5 is just an awesome pistol. I really can't think of anything I would change about it. Interestingly, the OEM barrel eats up lead bullets no problemo. Mine is apparently a very early gen. 5 with no forward serrations (which I don't like anyway) and the half moon cutout on the bottom of the grip.



Have you fired your 22 yet? I wonder if the heavier slide dampens the muzzle jump any. I have a gen. 3 22 which I Frankensteined out of used parts from Fleabay and Gunbroker. It is set up for cast bullets with a throated LWD barrel. 3.5 grains Clays under a 175 grain truncated cone duplicates .38-40 or .44 Special power level and is quite accurate.

We sell lots of the GX4's at the shop and haven't had any complaints. Far as I can tell it's a pretty simple design. The shop had a sale on the Taurus 856 and so I cancelled one layaway and put that one in instead. Hopefully I can sell some stuff and bail it out soon. I had an 856 for several years until my best friend talked me out of it. Wolff makes a spring kit for the small frame Taurus and it made a HUGE difference. That, plus a little polishing of the internals and it had a trigger pull as good if not better than any old school S&W I've tried.
