One wouldn't think cutting a cookie could be so complicated but there is for sure some technique to it in order to win races which I don't do. LOL

Glad the only hide tore up were the chaps.I was testing a new bar and chain combo with a 10 pin on the Rupley 064 Pipe saw and something wasn't quite right. It ran stock chain perfectly both before and after.
The video shows the chain not riding in the rail for about half the cut.
I need to fix two buggered drive links on the chain.
I also need to buy a new pair of chaps.
Any suggestions on protective and light weight?
I only cut for fun, but these Forester chaps turn me into a sweaty beast in about 2 minutes.

Good thing for that Dave! Otherwise we would have to start calling you Mr Dangles!

Funny shat there I'm tellin ya....swallard my gosh dang tabacky aginI believe these are what you are looking for Dave! They offer the protection plus comfort of being cool while running your saw's. I would not advise use in below freezing weather.

I ordered some husky chaps on Amazon so I have something before the GTG and will check two local dealers who carry OPE for something better today.
I will order the labonville competition chaps but cant get them in time for this weekend.
They also have a strange square external pocket attached at the waist that looks really out of place and isn't very useful.
no it about 4" x 4" and pretty flat, right at the top of the chaps in front of the left leg and is just hanging thereIs that a wedge pouch/pocket?
Well atleast they make somthin good[emoji12] 4in x 4in u say?no it about 4" x 4" and pretty flat, right at the top of the chaps in front of the left leg and is just hanging there
these are wrap chaps and really are pretty darn comfortable
I checked the three local dealers for other chaps and the Stihl chaps felt "cheap" for want of a better word, hard to describe but they felt like they would be less protection than the forester chaps I had before. I'm sure there are multiple models but nothing local felt as solid as the husky chaps.
