Me too buddy. I've never ran a ported saw. Would love to own one but I don't see it happening any time soon.
Same here. All my saws are “modded” but none are ported. Been trying to make it to a G2G to try them and see what all the rage is, but something always comes up. Hoping I find some extra money laying around to get one done of my own otherwise.

I just noticed the title of this thread says "Fundraiser", and I thought this was a "Funraiser"...

Anyhow, here's my raffle-daffle contribution - This saw has quite a history. It's an Efco MT-8200 and runs pretty good.

It was a local buy for a member as a project, who then decided it was too much for him, so he sold it to another member. That member then decided he didn't
have time for it, so he traded it to me. I tore it down to the crank after discovering that the crank had spun inside the inner races of the OEM bearings. It then
had an air leak between the crank stub shafts and the bearings.

I fully rebuilt it with new Nachi bearings, Husqvarna seals, a hand-cut crankcase gasket, new Meteor 064 piston and rings, new hand-cut base gasket, new fuel
system, new rim sprocket, new chain tensioner, new kill-switch wire, a lot of new hardware, and new guts for the starter. It's all stock except for the 064 piston
and rings and the carburetor - the carburetor is a WJ-69 from a later Stihl 066. The stock carb for these is a Walbro WJ-121 and the carb that came with the
saw is junk. So I had to modify the 066 carburetor to work and runs pretty good with it.

If a guy wanted to turn this up - a muffler mod, timing advance, and a little shaving of the piston skirts would be good first steps (the 064 piston dimensions are
almost identical to the stock piston but the skirts are about 2mm longer). It's a bit dirty now and has some dust on it but I'll give it a polish before sending it out.

I've put about 3.5 tanks through this and have had good luck with it. It's also going to come with a good condition spare cylinder in case someone wants to
practice porting or try different timing numbers.

Made a donation. Wishing Greg and his wife nothing but brighter days ahead!

If there are any Husky 262XP fans out there sitting on the fence, I will donate a non-decmp KS cylinder and a Walbro HDA87 carb to get your 262XP running like it was meant to run!

These things are nice lightweight saws. 80cc. I ported one a few months ago and got some crazy good gains. Built very well
