I may not be in the correct place for this but im looking for any forester bar dealers.
Looking to (in the near future) getting set-up with a 56" forester bar and ripping chain to go on a stihl 056super. Should be 3003 mount.
I already know 56" is a tall order for a 056 super, its going on a granberg mill and more than likely wont ever encounter that wide of log, but id like to be prepared. Thanks

You need more saw than that to mill efficiently in my opinion. An ms661cm ported for the job or a 395xp would be a better fit overall. Just one man's opinion :-) it's interesting that this pops up about the time I consider getting a chainsaw mill...

A friend of mine has been milling with an 045. It gets the job done. Was talking with his father the other day who has been milling some hemlock with it. He said it has a terrible air leak but he's been mixing the fuel at somewhere around 20:1 and the old girl keeps chugging along. Lol

A 660 is what 92ccs?. Im not too far off at 87ccs. Really a full 56" is probly too much for both. I intend on getting a granberg style ripping chain as they take less power to pull.

Ive been told the forester bars are soft, but i cant afford a general or cannon bar as a 56" could be as lofty as 500 bucks. Im tryin to maks a go at selling live edge slabs to the least ammount i have invested the better. And the 056s only cost me 250$

I was thinking about the huztl 660 kits for a mill power head. What do you guys think about them?
