What are we looking at Brother Wayne?

So it's a Echo 590 carb on an old Craftsman 3.3 and if I remember correctly @Termitebuffet had to use the choke shaft assembly off the original carb to make the linkage work.

Not sure if it will help your 4000 but the info can't hurt.

I tried to buy a cs620 carb for my 4000 by saw again was sold out and that's at near $100 tax and shipping included. Looking for less costly alternative. Is cs670 or 680 carb a option? Also what about impulse?

Is there a link or content on why the Echo 590 / 620 carb is preferred on the counter-vibe series saws?

It's on its way. A echo cs620 carb for $100otd locally. Found a dealer that was willing to deal. Pulan 4k is getting a lung transplant. If it doesn't work out I have a good running 590 that it will fit. Still would like to know about 670/680 carbs. One reason people might like them Kenny is they are hda carbs.

The Craftsman 3.3's came stock with HDA 49 carbs (pretty expensive)
I could be wrong, but it may have to do with venturi size.

It has everything to do with larger carbs, the hda,s are similar in linkages.

Alright carb guys. Will it hurt to mount a carb upside down? Can I switch cover with impulse line for cover without, by drilling carb body for internal impulse and using diaphragm that matches cover? Thanks

Well I have cylinder done and started reassembly. I got new rings from lil Red Barn and they aren't right. Right ones should be on the way so I have to send these back. The old rings were bout done as I put them in a different cylinder and that wore em pretty fast. Oh and they were 48years old and cut alot of wood.
