Fell 3 plus one already down.


Had to wedge the snot out of the last one to lay it in the trail, avoiding jaggers.

3 loads yesterday to get all this wood home for mom and dad.


Some were heavy enough I rolled them up on boards.

Some of these were heavy enough that rolling up on boards saved my back a bit.

How many loads, roughly, would you say you've made with that pickup/trailer combo? You definitely make them work, and earn their keep.

Hmm, I got the Tundra in 2010 specifically to haul firewood. It replaced a T100. Couple years later I got the trailer. I burned 5-6 cord per year up till about 2-3 years ago when I replaced the burner in the basement to something more efficient(now about 4 per). And, I’ve helped keep my parents warm with probably 3-5 cord per year.
They’ve both earned their keep. Some random pics. I started with apple orchard wood.

Nice 20ft fir log left behind after a bridge build in the bush,,, been sitting since may,,, hate to see it rot!!

Turned half of this tree and another little one, into this trailer load. Should be about 1 more trailer load for this job.
