Gettin' a little chilly here in south central Pa. Had to start moving wood to the basement. I guess my first fire is just around the corner.


And the uglies get burned first

Yip. Wifey asks last night if we were going to turn the heat on because it was a little chilly last evening in the house. (65). Lol

I said no way. She says how about the wood stove. Maybey next week I says. She will like my obsession with fire wood and chainsaws when her a$$ cheeks are nice and warm sitting on the hearth. [emoji38]

All mine (except the rounds in the last pic) is 3 years seasoned. I need a mm but I know it’s ready to burn.
And it is my basement. I put a smoke dragon beside my forced hot air oil burner. I just remove the blower access door and run the fan to circulate heat, leaving the stairs door open. Luckily it works pretty good.

Found this nice big Doug Fir about six miles from my house.

It was one of those days when I didn’t mind being overgunned... the tree was 34” dbh. I had to hit it from both sides with a 28” bar.

My trailer wasn’t too happy on the way down the hill, but she made it home.

Took down 2 good sized silver maples in my neighbors yard. He has been wanting to take them down I want the firewood he rented the chipper yesterday and got it cleaned up. The other trees are above my pay grade By a lot. Lol

I could tell you a lie that the last tree fell to the left of the stump because I was aiming it that way towards the chipper or the truth in that I fuggered my back cut. I like the lie myself Especially when those around me believed it. [emoji23]
