Made it out to Bunny's and finished up the hackberry that I started on back on the 12th.

Pile after today ready for the splitter. Hope to get out tomorrow and either start splitting or head back over east and cut up more wood that's down.

I was out cutting wood this morning, @Wilhelm you wouldn't believe the shear amount of wasted wood on the property that I cut on! Here's a picture from this morning, BTW we got a little snow last night.

We had "first snow" today too, but the ground is still too warm from 40+°C summer heats so it melted as it fell, still froze my face off during my 3 hour walk with the pup.
She didn't mind though!

Firewood is huge gray area business in Croatia, even the crappiest wood species is sold for high cash!
No "free firewood" whatsoever!!!

Good for You if You can get free firewood, be happy and stockpile it as much as You can!

Spoils of the day. Split for about 1 1/2 hours solid. Put the youngest boy on the swinging end of the axe for a bit too.

Started splitting for a bit. First half hour Pumkin supervised from my shoulder and the rest from the splitter. Got paid in wet food.

Simply a matter of demand and supply.

Yes, the majority of homeowners heat with firewood, yet it is becoming more difficult to legally purchase any because it is being processed into pellets and exported to wealthier European countries.

I got a little this morning. Two brothers and myself started cutting down a tree line this morning. The tree line is 3 40s long, so 3/4 of a mile. There's also a island island of about 40 trees we got to cut up. The farmer is putting in a irrigation system in April so we have to have it done by then. One brother cuts the trees down and drags them out and I block them up. We got 3 and a half truck loads this morning.

Pulled a couple loads of hard maple out at 1/3 of a cord per load. I wasn’t brave enough to leave the saws there for the drive home

Don't blame you on the saws. I have trouble leaving mine sit out even when I'm at Bunny's place and only going to be gone a few minutes.

I baby all my equipment. I catch a hard time over it but I have a ms271 with over 300 cord on it and 0 repairs

I got some more of tree line blocked up this morning. One of the brothers has a owb that heats his house, shop, and swimming pool in the summer. The other brother has a indoor wood stove. The rest of the wood will probably be sold. I used my XS 572xpg, XS 550xpg and my new XS 4350 that Kevin brought to the Twin Cities gtg yesterday.

Our cats stay at home. These are Bunny's clan and I spoil them with cans of wet food and give them some attention and they force me to take breaks to visit with them. Just wish the predators (owls, hawks, coyotes) would stop taking them out. She also has two dogs (Annie, very old and easy to be around, and now Joy, puppy who is a big pain in the ash).
