I have a 70 dl GB bar that I ran PS on . Hung it on a Olympic 950. Didn't have any issues with it.

I run an 18" 3/8lp on the 421 and bit. It runs good as long as the depth gauges aren't to aggressive.

Ya but once you get into that 12 inch plus wood the 6100 just really is to much fun not to use.

Grab a 7900 for wood over 12" diameter!

Up to18 -20" the 6100 will cut with the 7900

The look and feel are very high quality, the rails seem to be really hard, the nose sprocket is supposed to be Oregon's from what I could figure out.
They are laser cut solid steel bars and as such heavier than laminated ones.
I only own a 36" Iggesund Forest bar, as such it doesn't see much use.
I am considering to purchase a Iggesund Forest 24" to mix thing up a bit as I almost exclusively use Dolmar/Oregon.
I wouldn't worry regarding the tip, nor do I care about weight - but I am not a logger thus my bar/saw requirements are different.

Iggesund Forest also offers laminated bars, for smaller saws I think:

Best to have that just in case forestry comes by to have a look .
Would that type of screen be acceptable ?, not sure of any regs on type used but if these forest and brush fires keep happening they may become more aggressive in checking spark screens and the like .

I was using a 6800i with 24" to rip and quarter up some ash butt logs yesterday. 24" buried noodles.

They are stout stock. Not a lot to improve on except squish. 40 thou.

6000i and 6800i factory hotrods IMO and no need to touch them for a firewood cutter. I was saying how they could be a 1 saw plan.
