Holy smokes lots of water. Yes Cazadero is a handful in the stormsThat looks like a decently-sized doug fir! I know that Caz highway, or really anywhere out on the river, can be a mess in bad storm.
We had some pretty impressive winds last night, I kept waiting for one of my pines to come crashing through the bedroom...luckily no carnage for me though. One of my neighbors had a good sized cedar snap off and narrowly miss his truck The branches probably just brushed his truck and his house was on the other size of that.
Here's a short vid from me driving around the lower sierra foothills last week, luckily my house is further up in the mountains and at zero risk for flooding.
Thank u brotherNormzilla, I hope the best for your wife with her breast cancer situation. I have dealt multiple times with different cancers in my family including breast cancer. Just saying.
Usually have PG&e our power company, ground the pull out, or cut the lines. Some guys wing it, not me.How do you handle trees on power lines like that?
Yup! Years ago, I had an all wheel drive forwarder type rig that had a small log loader on the back with a nice rotating grapple that made work a breeze. I used it for CTL logging and everything else you can think of...plowing snow, loading scrap steel, moving brush..anything. I miss that rig!worked with a buddy today. this is the way to feed a chipper.

I bought my Stihl 440 in 2007. I brought it home from the Stihl dealer and started cutting firewood on a pile I had been cutting up. I still remember the wood chips blasting on my leg and buzzing through that wood. Wow! I still get that feeling 16 years later!
That's awesome and saw still going strong? I had a 044 for years loved it. Many big jobs, before I had more saws.I bought my Stihl 440 in 2007.
