I am sure it has lost some power over the years, just like me, but it definitely gets the job done.

Ran the Stihl 440 full blast on tree length firewood making them into 3" thick cookies because we had snow coming. Got it all cut up just as the snow started falling (one of many times the weather has made me hustle). I was sure glad to get that cutting done and sure glad the 440 blasted through them.

I bought 10 new loops of chisel chain and 6 gals of bar oil plus I had gals of fuel all ready so that I could just go full bore on firewood cutting for myself this season. Sure felt good to be done and bring the saw in and even better when I saw we got about 12" of wet heavy snow that night and next day. A few days later and we got 60mph winds and heavy rain that washed it all away. New England weather!
Wow that is some weather. I'm definitely not used to snow. Yeah the 440 is legit:)

Nice pine. How old you think it was and how heavy. I got one in my yard estimated 80-100:years old and at least 6 tons. I’m going to have it taken down eventually.

Not 100 percent sure on age 50 years plus 60 years maybe. I know these ones don't live ling, and it was starting to uproot and struggle. Some disease was getting in and bark discoloration. Weight not sure but pretty darn heavy and full of water.

Finishing up a large pine today, leftover from wife and I helping friend and neighbor. Hand feeling better. Tree.I posted the other day. My 394 flipped out of a cut, rakers hungry, and 8 tooth sprocket which I'm a 7 tooth guy, just haven't changed ot out. Sun of a biscuit caught two fingers woth the chain, gloves helped. First I thought I lost a finger or it was worse. Pulled glove off still had em all. It was a combo of the tip contacting another piece of wood off side, 8 tooth cooking with low rakers, and that saw missing a chain brake, came that way, but honestly I use chain brakes and believe in them. I'm thinking it woulda helped. Wife helped again.

OUCH! Good to see your fingers are still attached. Hope, healing goes well!
