So I need to block air dams on my saws and cut holes in the airfilter cover?

I'd keep the air damns intact.

Try the saw in wood with and without the cover. If its no faster without the cover, there is zero reason to hack it up.

Awesome thread really gets the thinking goin. Don't know if fuel mixture has been talked about would running richer mix like 32:1 run cooler than 40:1. I like to think it does. And what about different brands of oils and gas used ethanol or non ethanol as well as octane ratings.I think were scratching the surface with this discussion.

After you puch holes maybe add some of this its cheaper than frogskinz just have to use a sealant .

@redbull ... I think your cylinder temps might change with more cuts per test. The real question is what were the exhaust temps in those timing tests.
