Yep, both of mine are very good runners with only an MM, though I did install a new piston assy in the 510.......These saws came with the SAIS2 ignition module (slope advance ignition system) that would increase ignition advancement as RPM's increased, so I'm not so sure changing flywheel location would really help that much, I could be wrong though.....
Before I did a pipe the saw was strong with a mm the timing advance sure made it real snappy especially for delimbing trees

My latest Echo project. I read on a posting that Left Coast had these bars on sale. So I put this 12" on one of my 310's. 46DL Oregon lo pro and it cuts and handles great. The 310 ran rings around the MS170 I had before and with this setup it wouldn't even be close.

It cut this pile of limb wood on less than a tank of premix.

It is now! I am going to put this bar on a CS- 352 and try that out too. All three small Echos have lost their cat and limiters are trimmed, making them a whole new saw.
I run TruFuel 40-1 in my small Echos. They will run a quite a while on a single tank of fuel.

On a side note, I noticed right away that this bar does not wave back and forth by the tip when you get to cutting decent wood. I think the rigidity keeps the chain in the kerf better and you are not recutting with the top of the bar on the way down through the wood. This would have to create more drag on the chain, and at 30cc these little saws need all the help they can get.

looks nice!....hope the wife doesn't mind it on the dining room table!!....I haven't had the chance to run a 310 or a 352 yet, and would still like to know how well they run,........I used a 12" B/C set on one of my CS400's and my cs370 and really like them for the small stuff, these 400's really run great with just an MM and carb retune, the 370's aren't too shabby either.......;)IMAG0020.JPG

She wasn't home. Surprized aren't you?
I have a 400 with a 16" and had a 370, they are a little heavier and have a different chassis than the 310 and 352.

I'm not too sure I'm sold on their spring type A/V on the 310 and the 352, I'd still like to run both to see how they feel.....

I've had the opinion that Echos are the Toyota Corollas of the saw world. Not the best or fastest, but well engineered and reliable as tomorrow. I see no reason not to trust the AV system on these little saws knowing Echo's reputation for building stuff that just plain works.

12" on 3900. This saw came new with 20" 325 39cc. She now has 3/8LP PS chain and 12" bar.
Can run 44dl or 45dl too. As it was the stock test saw in chain build off rd#1.

A 3900 just sold yesterday on the bay, I was watching it, and would have placed a bid, but the seller wouldn't respond to some questions I had.......

Had a chance to run my 510 again yesterday after a little more work on the muffler and resetting the carb again, I'm really impressed with this saw now after the modds, it's turning out to be one of my first "go to" saws when head'n out in the woods..........:thumbsup:IMAG0134.JPG
