Dealer says, "mid-$800 range with the 24" B&C. Could not get an immediate answer, but my ?'s are can we get the 28" from the factory here and, more importantly, do we get the nice Sugihara/Tsumura guide bars.

Not likely to happen. It’s either the price or the bar. Part of the reason the saws in Europe and rest of the world get Sugi/Tsu is higher prices. In Japan the prices for saws are crazy, but at least lightweight solid bars are standard equipment for pro units.

Thank you again, PiSk, for that video on the Shinny E7073DP, VERY informative,,,,,but my Japanese is a little rusty.. A few ?’s:

What is JDM? Japan Domestic Market?

At about the 02:15 mark, is it safe to say the narrator is discussing heated handles/carburetor feature? I see an external switch in some of the camera angles.

Do you have a link to Yamabiko in Japan? Would like to see more.

Yes, because the titles mention working in cold conditions ( https://translate.google.com/#view=home&op=translate&sl=ja&tl=en&text=寒冷地でも快適作業 寒冷地に順応したヒ一ティングモデル )

Yes, for Japanese market the heated version is an option (so is for their 43cc pro chainsaw that will be also released in Europe as 4310SX, 50.2cc a.k.a 501SXH). Notably they have carburetor heating element which is not so popular or needed in Europe.

The new 4310SX (JDM E3043SP) is then in the product lineup a successor of 452s (Echo CS-452ESX)?

Finally some competition in the "pro sub-50 ccm" class. Since Dolmar PS4605 is discontinued, there was only Stihl MS241 and HQ 543xp.

390ESX in actual usage is already a strong player against those two. Despite the numbers in catalogue and not overly impressive acceleration it has extremely good torque for it’s size. And since it’s so small, guys who use it like it for being nimble.
That being said 4310 is miles ahead as the engine is bigger by 5cc, size (except length) is even smaller than 390, weighs like a toy (less than even 390), better filtration system and acceleration comparable to that of 2511.
Since it’s a “to go” size in Japanese forestry, no wonder it’s a leading saw of that market.
And yes, I’ve cut with it.

@pavel408 yes, it generally replaces 452s for Europeans. For Japanese it replaces 42RS with more power and less weight.

So I found an old CS360T at a local shop. Its solid. Someone apparently got the mix and oil tanks confused at some point. Seems to be a simple saw to work on so far.
Any opinions on these?

I know its an older saw.
I personally like my old CS4400. Not a powerhouse, but solid, and has done much more than it should have. It was my ONLY saw for years, and the only truly NEW saw ive ever bought.

Good little saw that will do anything you need it to. I've never heard of any real problems or weak spots on them. I like the 330/360 better than the 355T actually. Something about the 355 design makes it feel really bulky to me. I have a CS-303T which is the predecessor to that series and it's great. Pawn shops are my favorite fishin' hole for saws, tools, guns, etc.

Got my 7310 today. No time to cut with it yet. Did run it a bit to check the tune. Little lean on the low side. High was rich at 12,300. Left it alone for break in. Should get some run time on it tomorrow. Feels pretty light and pretty balanced with a 24"

Those limiter caps are a real pain to get off. Anybody have a tips or tricks to get them off?

Payed around $40 under 8 for it with 24" bar.

if there the same as the 590/620 a drywall screw works well. Turn them full counter clockwise turn the screw in and pull.

I think they are different from a 620. This is a zama carb with single d screws. And the cap is somewhat under the screw.

You have to buy the D carb adjustment tool if it’s the same as a dolmar 7910. Cheap on ebay. I usually remove the screws with the tool and slot the heads with a dremel cutoff wheel. That way I can use a screwdriver.
