We had the 600P available here until the 590 started getting really popular. I guess they needed to differentiate the 590 from the next model number up a little more. Echo changes model numbers incrementally compared to most manufacturers.

I did find that one stupid little difference between the 600/590 and 620 is the inner exhaust deflector, which accounts for at least some of the power difference. So, I guess people are paying $100 more for a $.25 piece of metal to not be included on the muffler for a more powerful 620.

620 is more powerful not because this piece you think.620 has an unlimited coil with a different map.It has a bigger carb, different p/c with more aggressive numbers, metal handle (same as 600p),metal clutch cover(the outer spike you mention is for the 590-600 plastic cover). There might be a few more minor differences that i am forgetting right now but i believe the cs 620 worth the 100$ more over the 590.

Good, I thought that one little piece would have a hard time accounting for the power difference they claim.

I’m not really a John Deere collector as you obviously are. I thought I was being funny but came off sounding sarcastic. Anyway, nice bunch of saws.

I’m somewhat new to Echos and greatly overestimated the collectibility of the Deere branded saws.

The only response to my C’list adds has been scammers and spammers thus far. [emoji37]

John Deere 30/Echo 302?

Where does one access the oil pump pick up line? Is there some secret handshake?

I’m getting no output from the pump. Have run the pump up and down it’s entire adjustment range and get zip. [emoji90]

Those are tough to get at through the filler cap opening. It has been a few years since I did mine. The barb in the tank is large, so I think I used a larger piece of Tygon on it and transitioned to a smaller piece. Stuffed it all back into the tank. It is a real pain to get line fit onto it. Curved pliers/forceps, patience and a couple cusses. Here is a pic. You can see the Tygon, but the fitting is only visible if you look up and back toward the 1-2 o'clock position. The fitting is awkwardly located toward the top of the tank and on the PTO side. Good luck.

The pickup line on mine is obviously gone. [emoji2959]

And, my curved surgeon clamps broke some time ago. [emoji90][emoji2959][emoji3517]

I'd agree. My CS670 has a *s-wordty plastic clutch cover, hate it!

Anything interesting or different about them 670's?
Problems?

You could easily mill with a thirty six inch bar and keep it wet with that pump and thumb accessory oiler. Maybe cut up to 24" live edge or I plan to beam cut with it. Saw is so quiet and smooth for rubber AV. It could run any 3/8"7p or 3/8"lp 8p. Needs to get some work time in. It just sits.

Here ya go, thanks to Robin Wood for his help getting it into the USA. Got here today and took 10 days to arrive. Right now I have no plans to gas it up.
