you need a 800p now.
I've got 3 more 670/0 and 3 more 590's to finish. I don't need an 800p but will find one sometime.

Looking good Joe. I need to find a box for ya still.
32" full comp.
that hickory is a little more rotten than I thought, but it will work well for comparisons.

Good running saw Joe.
Keep dreaming hippy lol.But.....but.......Echos can't run like that.

A windowed 268 piston with the usual squish band and base adjustment will wake it up a bit. A bigger carb will help even more.
Hda 45 or 63 off of the earlier 8000's are a good choice, next would be a modified 620 carb for direct bolt on.
With some creativity most any carb could be added.
Never measured the Venturi on a 620 carb. Are they quite a bit larger than the 6700s. I opened up the carb on my 600 but can't remember the numbers anymore. Maybe I should try that carb on and see what that does. I thought about trying the carb off the newer 8000s since the old ones are a little hard to find.

Put a hda 63 on the 6700 I did. Nothing noticeable.
The newer 800/8000 carbs are no larger, and some slightly smaller than the 6700 carb.
All of these echos use the hda carbs, they only go so big. Think the largest ever was the hda 45 roughly 1mm bigger choke/throttle bore but same 16.6 venturi. Stock 6700/670 is in the 15mm venturi range with roughly 19mm carb/choke bores.
Porting and timing advance was most noticeable mods.
Where bouts in wi you located?
It just seems like these saws can't breathe deep enough even the videos of yours but they definitely seem quicker than stock.
