I just bought a CS 4010 from my friend who is the original owner. When I tried to remove the H & L carb adjustment limiter caps I saw that they have only a slot with no center hole like my older Echo saws. Is there a different technique for getting a screw started in preparation for pulling the limiters? BTW, it is the limiter caps I'm looking at - they only turn about 90 degrees. Thanks, Ed

Do you have any pictures of these limiter caps?

They are plain with only a straight slot across the top. I'll try to get a good photo tomorrow and post it. Thanks, Ed

I believe that ring you see around both screws is spring loaded and takes a special tool. I will look when I get out in my shop and see if I can find the info or tool. The tool I thought would work is for the 4510 which is different from the 4010. I spent over an hour looking for info on the tool for that carb and found nothing. The only carb. Echo shows is the A021005410 which has a different adjusting screw. I am going to have to follow this thread and see what you come up with.
