The above is just my personal opinion!
I do not expect that everyone agrees with me and that is perfectly fine.

Cheers 🍻

Fixing my PS-7310 muffler, gonna bolt the sheet down with the remaining nut and then try drop a spot-weld on the opposite side.
Although, I think the muffler will burn right through.
No, I have no brazing equipment.

A few of mine...
The blue one I'm about to start building. I got a 7910 cylinder and a solo crank for it.
I've also got a dolmar concrete Saw muffler I think I'm going to attempt to chop up and see what kind of results I can get out of it.

So sad when complete idiots mangle up saws! 😢

This was supposed to be a "fell off tractor parts saw" which she is not!
Falling off a tractor does not replace 30% of the screws & bolts with non OEM.
Falling off a tractor does not result in deep screw driver marks driven between the case halves & both bearing being damaged.
Falling off a tractor does not severely bend the tubular front handle nor call for welding up the muffler.
And the list goes on as over 50% of the saw is unusable.

This is the worst I have ever seen!

I hate when people "try" to work on things and make them worse than they were. Hopefully some of it is salvageable

Cylinder looks OK, 50mm.
Starter assembly, clutch cover (has a crack), cylinder & AF cover, muffler (dented & welded, not modded), coil (maroon), possibly flywheel (sheared keyway), maybe carb - may be usable, but need checking.

I am also hopeful that the crank did not get fubared!
Hard to tell though with the brute force having been implemented to "break" the PH apart.

I have never before encountered a large frame Dolmar with this much operator caused damage.
So sad!

How bad is the damage to the cases can't be saved by sanding back flat? Maybe make a gasket out of thicker gasket material to make up the difference

Case halves are a complete loss, no saving those! 😟

I guess they could be set up for taking porting measurements, other than that they are trashed.

What a bummer 😞
Like literally flat screw driver tip driven between the case halves to break them apart!

I have newer before seen a saw this mangled.
And I have seen s#!t that made me refuse to even look at someone elses OPE anymore.
I f-ing don't care, buy new or take it to a dealer!

This is probably the "falling off tractor" damage she suffered
Which does not explain all the remaining damages.

This saw got abused over an extended period of time, broken & quick fixed, then further abused.

:(

Hello All.
I'm about to start port work on the Solo 675.
Taken 30 thou of base.
For the top transfers they have a slight curve upwards, anyone have comment if I should follow the factory shape when raising them or is there any advantage to having them straight?
This is the first quad transfer I've ported...
Thanks!
