I have a mid 80s John Deere rototiller and I'm having a hard time tracking down a carburetor and adapter for the engine. I don't think it's really a manifold but it may be.

We have the same tiller, it currently has the carb set up off a 6 hp Techumseh off a Troybuilt.

So did you use the intake manifold also? Originally they had an adapter that makes the carburetor sit level and it wasn't like the tube style. That is the part I can't find. I found a carb on Amazon for 14.00

I found a few Tecumseh 34712 listed on Fleabay.

As the name of the part it varies depending who you talk to. Either way it is an adapter be call a mounting flange or heat dam.

Thanks guys I made one it wasn't as complicated as I was thinking it was going to be after seeing a picture. And yeah all the linkage is there just no carb, flange or fuel tank. And after running the numbers I found its a 1977 624
