Please see Post #1.All the old timers that showed me the ends and outs of precision timber felling always used the term rakers when referring to the metal post in front of the cutter on a chainsaw
Lol, both my wife and I have diesel pickups, she still says that her truck needs gas in it!Please see Post #1.
They may also call it 'the gas pedal' on a diesel truck or Nissan Leaf too!

I have watched guys win races at our local GTGs using similar chain, based on better technique. This is safety chain FYI...
Joking aside, that places you above the many shops who do the edges only, and sell customers new chains when they don’t cut so good anymore.I dress rakers to adjust depth of cut.
Local shop by me hits em with the round grinder. Results are less than desirable though.Joking aside, that places you above the many shops who do the edges only, and sell customers new chains when they don’t cut so good anymore.

Soooo, they are "RaGes" ?!Depth gauges do just that. Set the depth of cut per tooth. But.... they also push the chip out of the kerf that the prior tooth has severed. So....the term raker still has some prevalence.
