Norwood PM14 depth control not holding

I have a Norwood PM14 that I set up and was attempting to mill slabs. The acme threaded rod for depth control kept vibrating, thus turning and consequently changed the depth of cut as I used it. Admittedly I was over the recommended size of saw and bar. (STIHL MS 881 WITH A 36" BAR )

Have you tried locking nuts, ? [ those with the nylon tops]

They don’t work forever, but you could try locking tow of them together
