Debugging 066 work saw carb

The farmertech carburetor for the 066 I got had throttle plate alignment issues.
I did swap it out for the oem walbro throttle plate and fixed my idle problem.
The original carburetor was just worn out from years of use.

Was this the carb they refer to as an OEM Walbro on the website? The generic one appears to be about 15 dollars, they are charging north of $50 for the OEM claimed one.

The notch wasn't inline with the idle jets?

No the plate won't allow the carburetor to fully close.

No it was the cheap one before the "Walbro" one they have

I was curious about these two replacement carb options so I got both.
Tillotson HS-320A and a supposedly OEM "Walbro wj69" ordered thru farmertek which showed up stamped wj138.
The tillotson has the cast "smart carb" snorkel thing, Walbro has a rubber one.
Manufacturing on the Tilly seemed a bit more refined.
The Tillotson was $59.40
The "Walbro" was $51.49 although now it says $66.04 on the website.
Tilly popped right in and worked.
On he Walbro the throttle plate had to be re-centered so as to work properly. I swapped the H and L jet screws with the OEM ones off the old carb as the ones the FT walbro came with were real short making it hard to tune while running.
I found the Walbro tuned, idled and transitioned to and from WOT a little easier so that's what I'm leaving on for now.
