Dealing with Tractor Supply? Good, Bad, other?

The compressor survived the cross county trip without any damages, not even a scratch. I unboxed it yesterday, and gave it a good look over, then read the manual.

Today everything is mounted, hooked up and fully tested. Not a leak to hear, fills up fast, very quiet compared to the old machine, and this is a keeper.

Hose reel is heavy and heavy duty. A great addon to a compressor, and long overdue.

In my book, Rural King is a decent company.

I work there part time. My store is really good but some others are terrible. Overall, I feel like I am treated well and they respect and appreciate me which is hard to find in retail. Our store has really low employee turnover which is a good sign.

A lot of it has to do with management too, get crappy management and then it becomes unfun work really fast.

Still loving the compressor, and in spring/summer/fall, good weather I use it all the time.

Anything like that it pays to shop around, I bet you can find it for less elsewhere. I think TSC and other big box stores price certain things with the expectation that the buyer needs it yesterday to get a job finished, and will just eat the higher cost to get it today instead of wait for it to be delivered.

I saw this same price at Lowes several months ago. Homedepot was higher, but still a bargain then. Not so much now.

I made my purchase when it was on sale, and my 10% off (veteran discount), with free shipping. That was the very best then.

I know everything is going up in price the last year, and the last several weeks. Mostly I am a bystander, retired, don't drive in foul weather so no gas purchases for over 2 weeks, got most of what I need, buy a lot off craigslist, etc. Must suck to be young and just getting started.

Buying things out of season helps too. I'm seeing alot of fantastic deals on hunting rifles and scopes right now.
